... "nigger" ... Dave Chapelle and Chris Rock did a funny skits on this ...
So did even a white guy Louis CK (whose stuff I love) on the same topic :-)

    On the N-word (from 02:00):

On being white (also kinda on topic and about how you can't hurt white people with words):

I found this to be true when listening to Spanish songs and traveling in South America. While I don't understand many of the lyrics, it put me in the right frame to listen and understand words. ...
    I had the same experience.
How did you like South America? Did you visit Colombia? Liked it? Medellin? Have you even been to Venezuela (I would love to go some time)? Would love to hear stories from South America!

    Great thread!

whats your impression of Estonian public transport (buses, trams, not taxi)? many local people complain that buses stink and are to slow and too crap and they say they gonna ride the bus because they have to get to work somehow or something, but they are would be idiots if they intended to pay for the ride. whats your take on that? do you think its normal that people in Tallinn openly discuss in forums etc, that they hate public transport, but still use it but dont buy tickets to support the budget for buying better buses in the future (basically they cheat and the ones who suffer are normal people who follow the law and buy tickets (which get more expensive because someone has to pay for the cheaters ride also :( ))?
dont know if you do them in order, but seems you missed my question (although it may seem irrelevant currently considering you are in USA).

I don't really use them too much, cause I don't understand where they go that well lol... I usually walk everywhere, or take a taxi. It seems like the tram system is geared more for locals and not tourists. The bus system seemed fairly intuitive though... was surprised how easy it was to get to Parnu, Riga, and Viljandi.

                Re: The Well: wpr101

Some funny/serious questions you are being asked right now about Estonia ?
The first day I was back I got asked four times if I was a college student and once if I was in the military. I am 27 now, but I guess I still look approximately college age. It came up inadvertantly.

At Radio Shack some employee asked me what cell phone do you have? Me: I don't have any. Him: lol wut, how is that possible? Me: I live in Europe. Him: OHH you are studying abroad!! Me: No, lol

I just say "I live in Europe". The interested person will ask where in Europe, but it's easier to say Europe than Estonia and get a bunch of confused looks :D

Yesterday someone asked me what countries Estonia borders. I said Russia, Latvia, and well sort of Finland as you can take a ferry there easily. He says: Woah Finland is a realy country?! Me: Yep Him: Wow, that's crazy I had no idea it was a country. I showed him on Google Maps too :D He was blown away by European geography lol.

What did you miss the most about the states when you were here (Est) ?
The easiest answer would be "friends and family", but other than that I missed driving a lot. I like driving around with some music on. At the same time I now hate how spread out everything is. For most resturants I eat at, it's a 10-20 minute drive. I also forgot how annoying traffic is lol... trade offs for everything.

Did you bring any Estonian souvenirs/food/drinks to your family ?
The first time I was here I bought my parents one of those framed pictures of Tallinn's sky/churches. Very nice piece of artwork and only 5 euros! This time for Christmas my parents wanted a new table cloth. I bought a huge red one with a design on it, from the market that is going on in the center of town right now.

Do you know how to drive manual gearbox? What do you think, what % of Americans don't?
I've driven a manual car twice when I was younger and was not good at it. I would say no, I don't know how. I could figure it out probably, but would take some time... my current car has tiptronic, basically you can switch gears in an automatic car with no clutch. Sometimes it's fun to fuck around with.

Do you sometimes laugh at black people jokes when you hang around with close white friends?
Yea, no topic is off limit with my close friends. But as I mentioned before it is a very diverse area... we probably make just as many jokes about jewish people, since many of my friends are jewish. Also some jokes about Mexicans or Asians.

                  FAVORITE MEXICAN JOKE:

Question: How come they don't teach driver's education and sexual education on the same day in Mexico?
Answer: Because the donkey gets too tired

                  FAVORITE ASIAN JOKE:

Question: How do Chinese parents name their children?
Answer: They toss a coin down the stairs and it goes Ting-Tang-Tong

                  FAVORITE BLACK JOKE:

Question: Why do black guys have red eyes after sex?
                  Answer: Pepper Spray

                    is this "almost" true:
                    ?
Haha someone shared this pic with me recently. The women are both better looking and in better shape in Europe. But maybe surprisingly the biggest difference is in personality. European women are much more naturally feminine, and naturally make men feel more like men and powerful.

American women do some weird power manipulations in my opinion... it's a difficult thing to describe. I am disgusted by American women in many ways now. I've also talked to many American guys who have traveled a good deal and they say similar things. One guy told me: "American women are trash". I told him lol that's the quote of the day, he said no it's the quote of the year :D

Also how do you get license there? My relative who lives in NJ told that she just took a test on the internet and they would just send car license with mail lol. Also if there is a car exam needed do you make the exam with automatic gearbox?

                        pro-choice or pro-life?
Pro-choice. I support as much freedom as possible.

what you think about war in iraq and afganistan?
I was in favor of the Afghanistan war when it happened. I had some doubts about Iraq, at some points I was a supporter and others I was not.

Now though, it has become obvious both were terrible mistakes. We should have done was we always do and just bombed the shit of Afghanistan :D America still runs like the Cold War is going on. Our leaders fucked up big time after assuming that when the Soviet Union collapsed we ruled the world and now our job is to police everything.

Bush declared the Axis of Evil to be: Iran, Iraq, and North Korea. In almost everyone of those countries things are way worse.

We killed something like 1 million Iraqis? That's fucking ridiculous... almost the whole population of Estonia :D

                        belive in extraterrestrial life?
I don't believe or disbelieve in. If the universe is infinite it almost certainly exists somewhere, if it isn't is probably does. I doubt we make contact with another intelligent lifeform at least in my life. Assuming my life doesn't go for 1,000 years after they discover new longevity drugs :D

                        whats your best pickup line?
In Estonia it would be: Hey, you look like you are from Tartu.

The response is usually lol, why do I like I am from Tartu. It also shows you are judging the girl right away, and you are the selector of women... she doesn't select you, she has to seek your approval.

Having listened to almost all the stuff I can find on Bit Torrent about picking up women, the biggest thing is get your inner game and core really solid. A pickup line or opener is good to start with... but if that's all you know how to do you are going to still be clueless.

One good introductory series is David DeAngelo's 77 Laws of Dating... only about a 2 hour program, which sums up his best philosophies. Look at the chapter titles and you will see it's probably something totally different than assumed. He always jokes about how guys who are new say: "When do we get to the pickup lines?", and why this is the wrong way to think.

1#So a priest, a pervert and paedophile walk into a bar. He orders a beer.
2#A Mexican, a Jew, and a colored guy go into a bar. The bartender looks up and says, "Get the fuck out of here."

Saying that in your lifetime we wont meet ext. lifeforms isn't the only possible view. Humans aren't the only ones exploring space. It's likely, that some aliens are already colonising universe, they just havent got here yet. Hawking has some nice documentaries about it.

                          What's your favorite book?

Haven't been to Columbia or Venezuela yet, but would like to go. I am going to make a trip again there this year and be there for maybe 3 weeks. I would recommend Chile to start with, it's the most Westernized, and friendlier to English speakers.

I don't like South America too much but I find it interesting. In some places the are extremely racist against English speakers, especially in Argentina. I was not the only white person to observe this. If you go to any resturant and you do not spanish, they will give you a shitty table and shitty service. This happened 4 out of 4 times to me. Other English speakers I talked to said similar things. Way too many times to be just coincidence. Argentina might be the worst... they are the proudest people, and for what, their country is the biggest shithole ever (see below story).

Would love to hear stories from South America!
I went to LAPT Main Event in 2010 located in Rosario, Argentina. Rosario sounded nice on Wikipedia, Argentina's third largest city. This was also my first trip since Estonia and I absolutely loved Estonia so I was thinking this would be awesome too.

Rosario is about 3 hours by taxi from Buenos Aires. So the plan was to fly to Buenos Aires and then get a taxi to Rosario. When I first land in Buenos Aires, there are signs at the passport area, Americans/Australians/UK in one line, and everybody else in the other line. I'm thinking ohhh cool, some VIP treatment for Americans! No, they make you pay a $150 fee for getting in, everybody else is free. So the first instance of a racist policy towards English speakers.

Now I am looking for the taxi stand I cannot find it. But this one guy I hear talking English and he had a Pokerstars bag. Later he randomly approached me, and I thought he said "William?", turns out he didn't but he was like my friend and I are getting a taxi to Rosario. BOOM, get to split the cab 3 ways and meet some people.

These 2 dudes turn out to be really cool. Our taxi driver speaks no English by the way. I know the most Spanish. I took many years in high school and college, but am still not great at it. Anyways, we are driving for maybe 3 hours, and we've just had a great time talking about all sorts of things... for example, one of the guys also trained jujitsu. We've driven by some of the shittest little towns I've ever seen.

Now here is where it gets fucked up. We see signs, only 30km to Rosario, we are almost there!! But then, we reach was looks like a road block with an Army there. Soliders with guns and shits. This does not look good. Our taxi drivers says: "ohhh no, dios mios". Which means Ohhh my god no.

There is a worker's strike for the past 20 days. Basically a bunch of communists are pissed off they got fired from a tire factory and have now blocked the main highway. I didn't get any shots of the guards, but here is how the workers look:

We cannot pass. Now we have to take a 4 to 5 hour detour to get to Rosario. The detour is longer than the original ride!

We drive through what is the worst thing I have ever seen in my whole life and the other 2 guys agreed. I have never seen anything like this. It looks like a nuclear holocaust. There are trash fires everywhere, stray dogs, but no people at all. The windows on home are blown out. There are no windows, no people anywhere. Shanty towns and shacks. There is a fire unattended every couple minutes.

This road is crazy. When no cars are coming in the opposite direction they drive on both sides of the road, and even then guys pass on the dirt side of the road! When oncoming traffic comes nobody moves over. They intentionally try and create traffic accidents. We are scared for our fucking lives. My friend keeps saying: "Tranquilo Amigo, TRANQUILO AMIGO" to the taxi driver, which means chill out friend :D

Now we finally get within 5km of the casino, but we are still in the total ghetto wtf? We are within 1km and still in the ghetto... wtf did he bring us to the wrong spot. This casino is in the middle of a terrible terrible ghetto. This is the view right outside the casino:

Now that doesn't look too bad right? But consider we are at a "5-star casino" and right behind that view is a much worse ghetto.

Now one of the guys had mentioned he wanted to buy some weed when we got there. I thought he meant like the next day if someone approaches us. But no, there are drug dealers right outside the casino, maybe just 25 meters from the casino main entrance. My friend is like these guys! So we go up and try and buy some weed...

Now sounds simple, but they speak zero english and I speak the most spanish. The best I can think of is: "Neccistamos las drogas". Direct translation: "We need the drugs" :D We can communicate we want weed, but how much and the price is impossible. It takes like nearly an hour of going back and forth... too long to explain here. We eventually buy 10 prerolled joints for what was like 1 euro lol. This country is so poor.

Insane week, seriously. Ended with getting 4th place in the tournament and winning 85k. WPR GONNA WPR:

what do you consider your biggest strengths/weaknesses as a poker player?
Biggest strengths are my dedication, ability to grind, and curiousity. Biggest weaknesses is not studying or reviewing enough.

is the timezone difference affecting you? i mean playing poker on different time then us
Not too much. I am continously jet lagged :D I don't care, I sleep when my body tells me to and do not worry that much about whether it is a socially acceptable time to be sleeping or not :D

                              thoughts on obama?
One of the worst ever. He is about as anti-American as it gets. I would rather have Mahmoud Amadinajad (sp?) as our leader. I would vote for a nutless monkey over Obama.

I could explain why for 20 pages worth of content :D I will tell you though, that in Europe they only give positive coverage about Obama, and gave negative coverage about Bush. Most Europeans have no clue at all what happens in American politics and what goes on behind the story they are told.

how old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?
I am 27 right now. The question is how old I would feel if I didn't know how old I was? :D I feel like more of an old man than 27 :D

you can have lunch with whoever you want from history, who and why and what would you eat?
Robert Anton Wilson, who is my favorite author. He died about 10 years ago unfortunately. Probably the smartest and funniest author I have read, and a true genius of literature. Some of his main influences are James Joyce, Homer, and Shakespeare. But he writes about the craziest shit... political conspiracy, quantum psychology, the universe, history, and everything else. He is a futurist... if you look at his predictions from the 1980s, some are more true than ever. No futurist gets everything right though. Who gives a fuck what I am eating :D

                              are you religious?
Nahhh, answered before. Don't believe in God, but some spiritual stuff interests me.

As u said before, u have invested to the stock market.
How the things have gone so far? Have u increased your capitall? How did u survived 2008 market crash?
I've done extremely well compared to the market. I survived 2008 by holding through it luckily, I did pick up up some nice buys during that time. Look at the charts for CMG, ISRG, and UA. These are my biggest holdings. I reduced exposure to stocks recently though, and have more cash on hand... waiting for the coming financial apocalyse :D

Actually while I was gone, some of my friends got into metal buying. I sold like $1,300 worth of silver and gold to them last night. I have way too much sitting around and in safe deposit boxes. It was like a makeshift Ebay auction lol... good deal for everyone. I sold for more than a dealership would buy from me, and they got cheaper than a dealership would sell to them.
