Well, it was fun. Thanks to everyone who tried to talk me out of it. I knew what I was doing though and wanted to do it.

I have debated quitting one of the three of poker /school/work for almost 8 months now because I clearly cannot continue to do all three. At first I thought school but quitting UChicago which is arguably the best b school in the country for a math nerd like me would be downright foolish. As for my job, I could not fathom a job that I like more. Its just incredible. As for poker, well poker was something that fed my competitive nature. I loved the game from the moment I started playing it. SNE last year changed this all. I made 25k every month for about 7 months straight and had a 50k month. It was just awesome. Then at the end of last year I was so burnt out from everything that I stopped winning, started sucking at work and barely passed my classes. I am on academic probation right now. As for the rest of my life, well I've been pretty depressed for a long time. Poker just makes me an unhappy person. Whe n I took these two weeks off, I can honestly say that I haven't felt this good in a long time.

I am quitting this game and I knew this day was coming soon. I kept playing last year even though I hated it because I wanted to finish SNE. I rarely set goals and don't follow through. Last year was easily the hardest thing I have ever done and I am such a better man for it. It's one of those things where after you finish it other tasks that seemed somewhat unachievable now appear to be a matter of willpower.

Anyways, I made a lot of friends on this poker journey. Its an interesting chapter in my life. I truly gave it my all and I'll take pride looking back knowing that at one point I was one of the best poker players in the world. Also I want to say that I've made a lot of good friends from this forum. It is truly inspiring to know that in a game where we constantly try to outplay each other and take each other's money that a comradery can be formed. Most of you are good dudes and you know who you are so I'll just say good luck and keep it real. I'll see you all in Vegas.

Well, 30k under EV really isnt' that bad. It was actually kind of a standard session. Get it in dominating, lose, then lose a flip, then flop a set and lose. :) Anyways it doesn't matter. I truly dont care. The one thing that poker has taught me more than anything else is that money is just a tool to make more money. Money doesn't matter and it can't but you happiness. It can buy you things that might make you happy for short moments in time but that is all.

Anyways, Idk why I wrote like a farewell speach but I guess its because most of you were people I confided in last year when I was pushing so hard to make SNE. Also I want to say sorry to anyone I was rude to, even those that deserved it in my mind. This game has done awful things to my personality and that was actually one of the driving forces in me deciding to quit. Either way this is a gentleman's game and a game that deserves respect and I did a very poor job of upholding those standards and for that I'm sorry. I'm sure none of you will hold it against me though. But GL to all of you in the future and I hope you can keep your sanity in this crazy game. For you bustos thaat have my AIM hit me up when I'm at work and send me funny HHs where you stack chumps. It will make my days that much better.
