Insurance for poker pros in Estonia

Hello,

I play poker as a living and I would like to know my options regarding health-insurance in Estonia. I don't need to have a doctor/dentist/etc. insurance, just for big things in case I break my leg or something. Do you have any suggestions, do you know any good company?

If you are EU citizen and if you have insurance in other country in EU, then you are fine in Estonia too. If you are from elsewhere then you have to obtain an internationally valid private health insurance. I'm not insured for example, because everything is dirt cheap anyway compared to other countrys. If you break your leg it's probably going to cost less than €100.

I had pretty serious eye trauma recently. I went to local small clinic, they had to make surgeon come from home because it was nighttime. He checked my eye and told me I have to rush to Tallinn 's eye clinic, put some special eyedrops etc. IIRC this cost me like €2, definitely not more than €5.

I went to eye clinic in nighttime where surgeon 's helper checked me out and told me to come back next morning when surgeon is back, I did and she checked my eye real good, for like an hour, did different tests with different machines, put some stuff on my eye etc and after that I had to go back 2 more times for more same checking to see if everything is good. This all cost me less than €30 in visitation fees.

If that's not dirt cheap medicine I don't know what is.

suht tavaline põlveopp tean läks tuttaval €4k. kujutan ette, et mingid pimesooleopid jms ka paar €k. kui peaks midagi tõsisemat juhtuma (autoõnnetus, leitakse tõsisem tervisehäda jne), siis võid vabalt €20k+ maksta ka. olenevalt haigustest ülempiiri pole. sõbra lapsel raske haigus ja on kaubeldud ja jageletud haigekassaga ja hüvitatud kokku 1,5m eek kulusi (ka ravi välishaiglas). suht totter on mitte maksta seda piskut sotsmaksu ja selliste asjadega lotot mängida imo

Läänega võrreldes ongi see sigaodav. Ei mängi lotot, vastutan ise enda eest ja kui tuleb maksta siis maksangi.

€1.2K aastas pole päris pisku ka.

intensiivravi päeva hind ~1keuri
operatsioonid juurde, seega kui midagi tõsisemat juhtub, siis pole summad mitte väikesed
pastilaa 4keuri põlveopi jutt on täitsa õige, endal mitu korda olnud ja huvi pärast sai hinnakirja uuritud

qbj0hni vennal juhtus USA-s õnnetus, reiele tuli mingi pisike õmblus teha, maksis $1K+

Ja Eestis ei jäeta kedagi hätta isegi kui pappi pole AFAIK, lihtsalt võlgu jääd hiljem

Ei salli lihtsalt kindlustusi ja ei näe kuidas see kindlustus teistest niiväga erineb... Ravimata ju ei jää, lihtsalt räige finantshoobi võid saada worst case scenario, mis ei ole imo maailmalõpp.

Ja worst case scenario tõenäosus on haruldasem kui WSOP ME võit.

Kui sa pastilaa reisil käid kas ostad igalpool reisikindlustused värgid? Kui ei siis miks? Samamoodi võib ju juhtuda...

Kui kindlustus maksaks €5K per year, maksaksid? Kuskil on igal inimesel piir, lihtsalt minu piir on madalam kui sul ja €1.2K per year tundub ebamõistlikult palju Eesti meditsiinihindade juures. USA-s elaks siis oleks see ülihea diil ja rõõmuga teeks sellise raha eest.
